The years go by and our dogs do not live as long as we do. Lately, we have had to say goodbye to two Salukis of our breeding, not owned by us, and to a Sheltie, not bred but owned by us.
Kashmanis Vanessa was born 2002-06-10, by Ch Min Arabi Mohi Khan ex Kashmanis Qishta al Nafud, in a litter of five "redheads". Like her mother and siblings she excelled at the lure coursing field, and although not competing often, she gained two LC CAC:s. She found her permanent home at one year of age and it feels so good to know that she has been really loved and cared for. Thank you to her owners. (More photos to come, or see under Kashmanis V-litter).
Kashmanis Qamar, a classic black grizzle male by Ch Khalils Sa'sebil Sag-I-Tazi ex Kashmanis Pandora, found his final and permanent loving home at 8 years of age and, being born April 7, 1996 he lived a most remarkably long life, ending March 4, 2013, when he was almost 17 years! In a previous home he achieved the title of Racing Champion. A very warm thank you to his owners for giving him such a long life with lots of love! (More photos to come)
Starbelle Stephanie, a pretty and sound Shetland sheepdog bitch of the true British type was born 2000-09-02 and had to close her sweet eyes on March 8, 2013. She was sired by Norwegian & Swedish Show Champion Stornaway Sawney Bean ex Int Show Ch Starbelle Sweet Swan. Steffie had CK:s and placings at shows but wasn't campaigned the way she should have been, because of lack of time from my part. She was the mother of two litters of puppies for my prefix, including Swedish Show Champion, BOB and CACIB Winner Kashmanis Yippee. She also "raised" some of our Saluki puppies, with a firm but friendly paw;-) She is deeply missed.
